I use it as a serum before I put my regular moisturizer on. I have very dry skin but I hate the feeling of an oily film on my face, so I basically look for as much hydration as possible but with a very light feeling. The gel is just that, though if you use it solo, it may dry a bit weird, leaving you with a slight tension on your skin.

Das Aloe Vera Gel benutze ich wie ein Serum unter meiner regulären Feuchtigkeitspflege. Da ich trockene Haut hab, aber mir viele Produkte für extra trockene Haut zu fest sind oder einen öligen Film auf der Haut hinterlassen, suche ich lieber nach Produkten, die zwar möglichst viel Feuchtigkeit spenden, aber dennoch ein leichtes Tragegefühl bieten. Das Aloe Vera Gel ist da perfekt! Allerdings würde ich von einer Anwendung ohne etwas drüber (wie in meinem Fall die Feuchtigkeitscreme) abraten, das es etwas seltsam trocknet und dann ein leichtes Spannungsgefühl auf der Haut hinterlässt

Rival de Loop Clean & Care oil containing eye make up remover 

It is shocking how great this definitely underestimated make up remover works. I tried so many make up removers, also from expensive brands, but none ever aced it. I usually use waterproof mascara, so I need a strong eye make up remover, but my eyes are also sensitive, so it shouldn't burn or sting (it should never, but with sensitive eyes, it is a bigger problem). And of course, I don't want to rub on my eyes (premature wrinkles and losing eyelashes? no, thanks!). This one doesn't remove 100% of the make up without rubbing. And then there's the slight oily film it leaves. But honestly, this increadibly cheap make up remover is still better than all the other competing products I've tried so far!

Rival de Loop Clean & Care ölhaltiger Augen Make Up Entferner

Ehrlich gesagt bin ich schockiert, wie gut dieser Makeup - Entferner wirkt. Ich habe viele, auch teure, Makeup - Entferner ausprobiert und keiner hat das perfekte Ergebnis erzielt. Ich benutze meist wasserfeste Wimperntusche und brauche daher einen starken Entferner, aber habe auch extrem empfindliche Augen, also darf's nicht brennen. Außerdem will ich natürlich nicht reiben müssen. Hohe Ansprüche, ich weiß...aber bisher war dieser Makeup - Entferner das beste Produkt, das ich ich finden konnte. Es kriegt nicht alles 100%ig ohne reiben weg und natürlich hinterlässt er einen leicht öligen Film, aber das ist immer noch besser, als alles, was die Konkurrenz bisher zu bieten hatte. Und dann kostet es auch noch so wenig!

ebelin Face Cleansing Brush

This brush is a new addition to my skin cleansing routine. I only use it once per week, usually in the shower, to exfoliate my face. The bristles are soft and the size of the brush is about the size of the clarasonics and that it the exact reason I bought it. Micro beads are bad for the environment and lots of other exfoliants either are too big / harsh or don't work that great for me. This brush requires no batteries / electricity, no chemicals, no useless trash. And it works really well.

ebelin Gesichtsreinigungsbürste

Diese Gesichtsreinigungsbürste ist neu in meiner Reinigungsroutine. Ich benutze sie einmal die Woche, meist unter der Dusche, um mein Gesicht zu peelen. Die Borsten sind weich und die Größe ungefähr wie die beim Clarasonic, und genau deshalb habe ich sie mir angeschafft. Mikropartikel sind schlecht für die Umwelt und viele andere Peelings sind mir zu stark oder zu grob oder genau das Gegenteil und peelen gar nicht richtig. Diese Bürste braucht keine zusätzliche Chemie und auch keinen Strom oder Batterien und ich bin voll und ganz zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis

Balea Repair Pflege Anti Spliss Serum
This clear fluid is quite oily but not as greasy as a regular oil. So those who have trouble working oil into their hair / the damaged ends, will have no problems with this product as it won't make your hair look greasy, even if you used more than you wanted. I use it after I washed my hair and work it into my dried hair, mainly in the ends but also the length. It leaves your hair soft and shiny and work pretty much as a protection coat, preventing your spliss to get worse and your hair to get more damaged. It doesn't have a strong smell and the pump makes it easy to use.

Balea Repair Pflege Anti Spliss Serum
Dieser kleine Goldschatz ist ein durchsichtiges Fluid, das zwar ölig ist, aber nicht so fettet wie ein normales Öl und daher perfekt für diejenigen ist, die ungern Öl in ihre Haare geben, aber auf die Pflege - und Schutzwirkung nicht verzichten wollen. Man kann es problemlos in geschädigte Haarspitzen aber auch in strapazierte Haarlängen einarbeiten, ohne dass die Haare fettig aussehen. Ich benutze das Serum meist nach der Haarwäsche und gebe es in mein getrocknetes Haar, sowohl in die Enden als auch in die Längen. Das Haar fühlt sich danach sehr weich an und glänzt. Das Serum wirkt praktisch wie ein Schutz um die Haare und verhindert weitere Haarschäden bzw dass sich bestehender Spliss verschlimmert. Ein wunderbares Produkt ohne starken Geruch und mit einfacher Handhabung dank Pumpspender.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is an allround great product for your skin and hair with its endless uses and great effects.I kept it very simple this month and just used it without anything else. I mainly used to condition my lashes and as a moisturizer at night when my skin felt really dry. But i also massage some of it in the (damaged) ends of my hair. I'm just so in love with coconut oil, it is all natural, works wonders on my skin and hair and is so versatile as well and on top of that it smells so good!

Kokosöl
Kokosöl ist ein Allheilmittel (na ja, fast), wenn es um trockene Haare oder Haut geht. Es gibt unendliche Anwendungsmöglichkeiten, aber diesen Monat habe ich es simpel gehalten und es pur benutzt. Am meisten habe ich es benutzt, um meine Wimpern zu pflegen, und das Öl einfach nach der Makeup - Entfernung eingebürstet. Auch habe ich es als Feuchtigkeitspflege auf mein Gesicht gegeben, wenn es sich mal wieder extrem trocken anfühlte. Ab und zu massiere ich auch etwas Kokosöl in die beanspruchten Spitzen meiner Haare. Ich bin einfach nur begeistert, wie ein ganz natürliches Produkt zu vielseitig einsetzbar ist und so gut wirkt und dabei noch himmlisch riecht!

Urban Decay Naked Palette

An oldie, but a goldie (literally). I have had this palette for years and yes, I have always loved it, but I haven't used it that much, because I prefer the colder shades from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. However, I used this a lot this month as I tried out lots of different eye make up looks for my friend's wedding. This product always deserved the hype and I am back and again the UD Naked fangirl I've always been.

All time favorite, aber diesen Monat wiederentdeckt. Wie man wahrscheinlich sehen kann, habe ich die Palette schon relativ lange und habe sie auch schon lange geliebt, aber trotzdem viel zu selten benutzt. Ehrlich gesagt fand ich lange die kühleren Töne der Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette passender für mich. Allerdings habe ich diesen Monat viele Looks ausprobiert und experimentiert und diese Palette hat mal wieder bewiesen, dass alle Lobgesänge auf sie vollkommen berechtigt sind. Butterig weiche, gut pigmentierte, schön abgestimmte Farben, die den meisten Hauttönen und - typen stehen (von matt über schimmernd bis extrem glitzernd alles dabei).

Sleek i-Divine Ultra Mattes V2

This palette have been around for so many years already, but I just purchased it this month. And I have to say: I am in love! Amazing shades, super high pigmentation, great blendability and we are talking about matte colors which tend to be rather high maintenance, but not in this palette! It is also super affordable, best quality - price ratio ever experienced!

Sleek i-Divine Ultra Mattes V2

Die Sleek Paletten gibt es schon recht lange, aber diese habe ich mir erst diesen Monat zugelegt (Spätzünder). Und ehrlich: ich bin verliebt! So viele unterschiedliche, wunderschöne, sehr stark pigmentierte Farben, und obwohl matte Lidschatten meist sehr zickig sind, kann man diese wunderbar verblenden! Abgesehen davon ist die Palette sehr erschwinglich. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis unerreicht!

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes: Creamy Beige

Everybody is raving about the Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes and that they are pretty much dupes for MAC paintpots (if anyone is looking for a Painterly dupe check the rosey color). I wanted to test it and yes, they are great and last comparatively long even on my super oily and very hooded asian lids. Great quality! The color is nice although it looks a lot warmer on skin than in the jar. However, there is one thing that really bothers me: if something is called creamy matte, I expect it to be just that: MATTE. Long story short: this one isn't. It has tiny bits of golden shimmer in it. Still a good product, but with a very misleading name and unfortunately not matte.

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes: Creamy Beige

Im Moment ist das Gerede natürlich groß: Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tatto Creamy Mattes als Dupes für MAC paintpots! Neugierig wie ich bin, gleich mal einen ausprobiert. Das Ergebnis lässt sich sehen, sehr cremig, aber auch beständig, selbst auf meinen öligen Schlupflidern halten sie erstaunlich lange. Ich finde die Farbe auch sehr alltagstauglich, obwohl sie auf der Haut wärmer rüberkommt als im Tiegel. Eine Sache habe ich allerdings zu bemängeln: wenn etwas sich Creamy Matte nennt, dann erwarte ich genau das: einen MATTEN Lidschatten. Leider hat dieser kleine goldene Glitzerpartikel. Das mindert die Qualität nicht, hat mich jedoch schon enttäuscht und der Name führt in die Irre.

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Also an item that has had its hype some years ago. I have to admit, I hate that the Primer Potion (I prefer the original over the rest) is quite pricey considering I kinda need it every single day. So far I haven't found anything equally good neither for cheaper nor for the same price.

So ein Produkt, dessen Hype vor einigen Jahren begann...und das auch zu Recht. Leider ist der Primer Potion etwas teuer, wenn man bedenkt, dass Leute wie ich ihn jeden Tag brauchen. Bis jetzt habe ich noch kein gleich gutes Produkt gefunden, das preiswerter ist.

Urban Decay all night long Fixing Spray

As I mentioned before, I had a special event this month for which my make up had to last through all weathers and emotions, so this fixing spray has been a real life saver. It doesn't feel sticky or smells weird and really does the job! I have tried drugstore fixing sprays and the MAC one, but none of them are as light and  effective as this one.

Ich hatte diesen Monat ein besonderes Ereignes, für welches mein Make Up bomben - und wetterfest sein musste und dieses Fixierspray hat definitv meinen Allerwertesten gerettet! Das Spray fühlt sich absolut nicht klebrig an, hat keinen starken Geruch und hat wirklich einen ganzen Tag und eine ganze Nacht durch Wind, Wetter, ein Wechselbad an Emotionen und eine wilde Feier gehalten. Unerreichte Qualität!

S.O.S: Aufruf an Herbal Essences: Spitzen Star // request of Herbal Essences for a beautiful end

Dies ist ein Aufruf zur Wiedereinführung eines Produktes auf den deutschen Markt und zur Fortführung des Verkaufs in Groß - Britannien. Die Rede ist von der Haarkur Spitzen Star von Herbal Essences.

This is a request to reintroduce a product to the german market and to continue the sale in the UK. I'm talking about the hair mask called beautiful ends from Herbal Essences.

Im Jahre 2011 (oder war es bereits 2010?) wurde ich durch ein dm Haul - Video einer der erfolgreichsten Beauty YouTuberinnen Deutschlands auf das Produkt aufmerksam. Die YouTuberin (Mary M, damals noch beautypeachiii) hatte einen Tiegel besagten Produktes und schwärmte davon (zumindest in meiner nicht mehr ganz so präzisen Erinnerung). Einige Zeit später kaufte ich die Haarkur auf Probe. Damals gab es sowohl die 200ml Dosen (ca. 4,95 – 4,99€) als auch Sachets (0,99€) für einzelne Anwendungen. Ich erinnere mich, dass der Inhalt der Sachets relativ großzügig bemessen war, obwohl ich sehr lange Haare hatte. 

The first time I heard of the hair mask was in 2011 (or even 2010?) when I watched a drugstore haul video on YouTube of one of the most successful German beauty YouTubers. She raved about it (at least according to my not 100% reliable memory), so shortly after, I bough said product.

They used to have regular sizes but also little sachets for individual use. I bought a sachet to try the product and I remember it being quite a generous amount in the sachet for just one use, considering that I do have and had back then relatively long hair. 

Nach der ersten Anwendung war ich begeistert, regelrecht erleuchtet. Noch nie zuvor hatten sich meine Haare so weich und geschmeidig angefühlt. Auch sahen sie viel ebenmäßiger und gesünder aus und glänzten. Wer sich an alte YouTube – Videos von Ingrid Nilsen (missglamorazzi) erinnert, kennt bestimmt noch ihre damaligen glatten braunen langen Haare, die wie ein seidiger, fast schon fließender ebenmäßiger und glatt glänzender Vorhang in ihr Gesicht fielen. Genauso sahen meine Haare aus. Der Kauf einer großen Dose war keine Frage und so war ich glücklich, nach vielen ausprobierten Produkten endlich meinen heiligen Gral gefunden zu haben.

After the first use, I was amazed, enlightened! Never ever before has my hair looked and felt so healthy, shiny, soft and smooth. Those of you who watched the old videos of Ingrid Nilsen (missglamorazzi) on YouTube may remember her silky, almost fluid looking curtain of brown hair. That was exactly how my hair looked. If not better ;) I obviously purchased the normal size and considered it my holy grail of haircare.

Nach einigen Wochen bemerkte ich, dass die Haarkur für eine längere Zeit im Drogerieregal nicht nachgefüllt wurde, bis ihr Platz im Regal komplett verschwand. Und zwar sowohl bei dm als auch bei Rossmann und in allen Supermärkten, die Haarpflegeprodukte führten. Ich war anfangs traurig, dann genervt, weil es nun wieder für mich hieß: Haarkuren ausprobieren, bis mich irgendeine zufriedenstellt. Kein Produkt – egal ob aus der Drogerie oder dem Fachhandel / Frisörbedarf – wirkte je wieder wie diese Haarkur...

Several weeks later, I noticed that neither drugstores not supermarkets with a haircare section restocked the hair mask until the spot of the hair mask in the shelf silently disappeared. First I was a bit sad, but my sadness turned into anger and frustration as I had to look for a new hair product that would deliver the same result. I never found one.

Wir spulen vor, knapp 2 Jahre. Ich besuchte Freunde in London (UK). In einem Supermarkt (Sainsbury) schlendere ich zufällig an den Haarpflegeprodukten vorbei, eigentlich Ausschau haltend nach Marken, die es in Deutschland nicht gibt (mir wurde TRESemmé empfohlen). Und da standen sie, angestrahlt von penetrant hellen Neonröhren, die knallroten runden Döschen, der englische Name: beautiful ends. Noch dazu gerade im Angebot für 2,55 GBP! Ich kaufte mir 2 Packungen und fuhr beschwingt nach Hause. Das Hochgefühl legte sich, als sich mein Vorrat dem Ende näherte und ich immer sparsamer mit der Haarkur wurde.

In der Zwischenzeit fuhr ich öfter nach England bzw kam Besuch aus England, sodass mein Bedarf meist ausreichend gedeckt war.

Fast forwards: almost 2 years later, I visited friends in London (UK). I randomly scanned the hair care section of a supermarket (Sainsbury), actually looking for brands that are not available in Germany (TRESemmé was recommended to me). But there they were in their bright red containers: the beautiful ends mask. And there was a special offer on them, too! I bought 2 packs and was sooo so happy. When I got to the last bit of product, I became a bit anxious, only using as little as possible to save it as much as possible.

As time went by, I went to the UK more frequently and got visits from the UK quite frequently, too, so I always had a considerable stock of the hair mask.

Ich habe auch vielen Freunden - nur meinen liebsten, denn so gerne teile ich mein Wundermittel dann doch nicht – ein paar Dosen abgegeben, was ich durchweg gut mit ihnen meinte. Mir wurde jedoch scherzhaft Sadismus unterstellt, da ich ihnen erst diese unfassbar toll wirkende, rosafarbene, himmlisch duftende (Himbeere) Haarkur zeigen würde, sie aber dann nicht in der Lage wären, diese sich nachzukaufen. Aber grundsätzlich waren sie doch froh, dass ich sie ihnen zeigte und sie ab und zu eine Dose abbekamen. Schließlich konnte ich sie ja in England problemlos kaufen.

I also showed the hair mask to some of my dearest friends, who all loved it a lot. I only meant well sharing my reserves with them, but they jokingly accused me of sadism as I introduced them to such an amazing product with the lovely raspberry smell, that they will end up loving only to realize that they would not be able to repurchase it. Anyway, everybody loved the product and as I had my source for it, everyone was happy.

Doch als ich das letzte Mal nach England fuhr und wieder meinen Vorrat aufstocken wollte, bemerkte ich, dass alle Supermärkte sowie Boots (eine englische Kette, die sowohl Drogerie, als auch Apotheke ist und zudem High End Schminke führt) die Haarkur aus dem Sortiment genommen hatten. Ich habe noch ein paar Dosen in Superdrug (englische Drogeriekette) ergattern können, auch wieder in einem Sonderangebot. Jedoch habe ich nun die Befürchtung, dass das Produkt auch in England bald nicht mehr zu finden sein wird.

However, the last time I went to the UK, I noticed that all the supermarkets and even Boots (mix of drugstore and pharmacy, but also with high end make up) didn't sell the hair mask anymore, or any Herbal Essences hair masks for that matter. I panicked a bit, but finally found some at Superdrug (drugstore chain), on a special offer again (YAY!).

So now, I'm scared Herbal Essences will fully discontinue the hair mask or at least not sell it in Europe anymore.

Daher versuche ich diesen Aufruf zu starten:

BITTE, Herbal Essences, nehmt dieses wundervolle Produkt nicht aus dem Sortiment!

Und wenn ich noch einen Wunsch frei hätte: bitte bringt es wieder in Deutschland auf den Markt! Es gibt offensichtlich viele, die Interesse an dem Produkt hätten. Es wäre also eine Win – Win – Situation, in der ihr Profit machen könntet und viele Menschen glücklicher mit ihren Haaren wären.

P.S.: Auch die Feuchtigkeitsmaske (in blau) war toll, aber die Spitzen Star Kur ist mir persönlich wichtiger.

Therefore my request: pleace, Herbal Essences, please continue selling your hair masks, especially the beautiful ends mask! And please bring it back to Germany as well!

There is obviously a target group that is very interested in it, and so many people love the product. It would be a win – win situation, you would make profit reintroducing it to the german market and lots of costumers would be happier with their hair. I dont see anything bad coming from that. Please! Bring the hair mask back! I would be so grateful. And not just me, trust me!

Herbal Essences hat die wundervolle Spitzen Star Haarkur vor einigen Jahren aus dem deutschen Sortiment genommen und es scheint, dass das gleiche in Groß – Britannien passiert. Die Haarkur ist aber die beste, die ich jemals ausprobiert habe und viele Freunde sehen das genauso, sodass ich hiermit Herbal Essences bitte, das Produkt wieder auf den deutschen Markt zu bringen und auch weiterhin in Groß – Britannien zu verkaufen.

Herbal Essences discontinued their amazing beautiful ends hair mask in Germany some years ago and it seems the same will happen in the UK. Since me and my friends think it is the most amazing hair mask ever, I now publicly try to make Herbal Essences reconsider reintroducing their mask to the german market and ask them to continue selling it in the UK.
